Seeing the estate pictures are nice, listening to “cheesy” music is NOT. It is also disrespectful to the owners of the items of the sale. It would make me not want that particular group of people having my or any of my family members sale. Show respect!

      Dear Melanie:

First, I assume that you’re referring to the slide shows we upload to YouTube for each sale.

(We don’t have default music of any kind playing on OkcEstateSales.com itself, so I hope that you’re not confusing our site with anyone else’s.)

Watching the slide shows for our sales is strictly optional. (Our customers always have the option of seeing the preview pics in stationary form. In fact, even more customers opt to see pictures in stationary form than slide show form. Again, we simply give our customers options in the way in which they view preview pictures.)

Second, the slide shows are often memorials to the owners of the estates themselves, and are created as much for heirs and loved ones as for the general public.

Certainly no disrespect is intended, and the “cheesy” music we use is carefully selected to be reflective of those whose estates we liquidate.

Most of our clients and customers alike like our slide shows very, very much, and often praise them.

Again, though, you’re certainly entitled to your opinion, Melanie, and (please remember this) always have the option of simply not clicking on the slide show button in the first place. (As I stated earlier, you can always view stationary preview pics at any time you like on the “Upcoming Sales” page of http://www.OkcEstateSales.com and scrolling down for details.)

We look forward to seeing you at future sales.
Keep your eyes on your inbox and on the “Upcoming Sales” page of http://www.OkcEstateSales.com for updates.

      Best regards,
      Matt McNeil, ISA CAPP

The honesty and integrity with which you conduct your sales is refreshing.

  4. William Greenwood on April 1, 2016 at 11:19 am

I thought the slide show very helpful in evaluating my interest in the sale items. And I ENJOYED the music and your response to someone who complained.

    • Matt McNeil on April 1, 2016 at 5:27 pm

Thanks for the encouraging words, Mr. Greenwood. 🙂

Some people would — as my late grandfather, James Lee McNeil used to say — “bitch if ya hanged ’em with a new rope.” 🙂

It makes me happy to know that a faithful patron enjoyed the slide shows we made and placed on YouTube prior to each sale.

We look forward to seeing you at the next sale, Mr. Greenwood — it’s a real doozy!
