Need to get away from the hustle and bustle?
Looking for a clean, cozy hideaway in the nearby, beautiful Ozark Mountains?
We encourage you to consider our rustic log cabin in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
It’s located less than ten minutes from Eureka Springs’ historic downtown, and sits above the spring-fed waters of Lake Lucerne.
This true chink & mortar log cabin was built in 1919 as a covered sleeping porch, but was converted into a full residence around 1929.
Our cabin (the first one built back in 1919) sits at the end of a quiet mountain road, and right at the mouth of a placid trail leading up what locals refer to as Airport Mountain.
There’s a small but fully equipped kitchen on site, as well as a jet tub. There’s also a spacious deck outside, complete with a patio table and gas grill. (We also have both wi-fi and cable television in place for all our guests.)
Our cabin features a queen size bed, but will comfortably sleep four guests if you take along an air mattress.
This bucolic cottage in the woods is surrounded by native white pines, loblolly pines, bur oaks, red oaks, paw-paws, climbing hydrangeas, ferns, bitternut hickories, and Japanese maples. (We’ve even recently planted native once virtually extinct Ozark chestnuts/chinquapins as part of a nationwide effort to re-establish this once mighty breed in the Ozark plateau.)
It’s around four and half to five hours from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and around five hours from Memphis, Tennessee. (It’s around three and a half hours northwest of Little Rock, Arkansas, and about an hour and a half south of Branson, Missouri.)
Nearby attractions include late Victorian architecture galore, hot springs and mineral baths, caverns, hiking and fishing tours, world class shopping, the Blue Spring Heritage Center, The Great Passion Play (complete with the Christ Of The Ozarks), various art and bluegrass festivals, War Eagle and other antiques shows and flea markets, Crystal Bridges, Pea Ridge, and much, MUCH more.
The cabin’s about twelve miles away from Table Rock Lake, eleven miles from Lake Leatherwood, ten miles from the White River, and eleven miles to Beaver Lake.
We rent it for considerably less than the cost of most hotels in the Eureka Springs area, and offer both weekly rates and military discounts.
