It’s located about ten minutes from Eureka Springs’ historic downtown district, and is gracefully perched above the spring-fed waters of Lake Lucerne.

Our cabin (the first one of nine cabins above the shores of Lake Lucerne) sits at the end of a quiet mountain road, and right at the mouth of a placid trail leading up what locals refer to as Airport Mountain. (This true chink & mortar log cabin was built in 1919 as a covered sleeping porch for the lake’s guests, but was converted into a full residence/guest cabin around 1929.)

There’s a small but fully equipped kitchen on site, as well as a jet tub. (There’s also a spacious deck outside, complete with a patio table and gas grill.)

Our cabin features a queen size bed, but will comfortably sleep four guests if you take along an air mattress.

This bucolic cottage in the woods is surrounded by native white pines, dogwoods, loblolly pines, bur oaks, red oaks, paw-paws, magnolias, climbing hydrangeas, ferns, bitternut hickories, and Japanese maples. (We’ve even recently planted native chinquapins as part of a Missouri-led effort to re-establish this once mighty breed in the Ozark plateau.)
You’ll often see bald eagles circling over Lake Lucerne Valley, and brown bears, deer, chipmunks, and squirrels abound.

It’s around four and half to five hours from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and around five hours from Memphis, Tennessee. (It’s around three and a half hours northwest of Little Rock, Arkansas, and about an hour and a half south of Branson, Missouri.)

Nearby attractions include The Great Passion Play, Quigley’s Castle, Onyx Cave, War Eagle, Crystal Gardens, Pea Ridge, various art and music festivals, and much more.

The cabin’s about twelve miles away from Table Rock Lake, eleven miles from Lake Leatherwood, and ten miles to Beaver Lake.

We rent it for considerably less than the cost of most hotels in the Eureka Springs area, and offer both weekly rates and military discounts.
